Well Control Equipment

Well Control Equipment stands for all the equipment, special tools, instruments and gauges, and manifold that are technically used to control pressure of oil and gas wells.

Component of well control equipment:

Normally the well control equipment consists of the following 6 parts:

1.       Wellhead Equipment and well control system: Hydraulic BOP stacks and BOP controlling system, drilling spools, Casing Head, and spacer spools etc.

2.       Well control manifolds: Choke manifold, Kill Manifold, blowout preventer manifold and bleed-off manifold etc.

3.       Inside BOP:Kelly lower/ upper cock valves, drill string back-pressure valves etc.

4.       Well control instrument and gauge: comprehensive logging instruments, fluid level monitoring instrument etc

5.       Mud cleaning and pumping equipment: Mud cleaning system, degassing equipment, weighting up and automatic filling equipment etc.

6.       Special equipment and tool: rotary head, self-close head, strip device, special tool to clear blocks and fire distinguishers etc.
